Raised on a Lor colony outpost by her mother, Sekira has always known of her half-Grue parentage, and her mother worked quite carefully to keep that a secret from her Grue-phobic Lor peers, intentionally 'retiring' to an out-of-the-way outpost position. Finally ‘outed’ and accused of collaboration with the Grue Unity, her mother died faking Sekira's death, sending to Earth to seek out the only person she thinks would protect her, the Grue outcast, and her father, Pseudo.

Sekira’s mother told her that she had served as Lor ambassador to Earth over a decade ago, and it was decided after the Terminus invasion to sever contact with the world, even to go so far as to remove all memory of the Lor ambassadors presence on Earth, or her service with the Freedom League, alongside her unlikely lover, R’ik Faax, the rogue Grue known to Earthers as Pseudo. She has never had reason to doubt this story, but now finds herself on a world that has no recollection of her mother, and no evidence to back up her unusual claims…

It remains to be seen if her mother’s story is indeed factual, or if Pseudo is even her true father, and not another Grue entirely. (Indeed, her mother may have actually been a Grue collaborator, betrayed by her alien lover to her death!)

Sekira can appear in any humanoid form, but ‘at rest’ appears as a slender willowy humanoid female with long delicate fingers, a wide-eyed and swept-eared elfin appearance, a mane of silvery-white hair that runs like a crest down the center of her scalp (and down her back), and also can be seen growing along the outer edge of her forearms and the outer edges of her calves, all over dark wine-red skin, that appears almost black, with reddish highlights, in poor lighting. She has only three fingers, each ending with a completely solid 'joint' of bone-like tissue, and a single thumb on each hand, and only one large toe from an otherwise seamless foot (making her bare feet appear like someone wearing Japanese tabi footwear). When she opens her mouth, her tongue is dark purple, and her teeth have the semblance of human teeth, but are solid ridges of hard tissue (more like horn than bone, and a glossy black in color). When startled, her crest of hair rises up like a mohawk to stand rigid, but otherwise drapes smoothly down her back, ending a few feet below her tailbone. Her eyes are solid black, and shine damply, with a close observer seeing something moving around inside of them (an internal eye structure that moves around as she focuses on closer or farther viewpoints, very disconcerting to human viewers, as it looks like something is swimming around inside of her eye…). As a result of her unusual bone-structure (being grown of hardened deposits of tightly packed hair-like fibers, and not deposited calcium), her body is more prone to ‘bending’ with impact than breaking, and she tends to recover from injuries that would break the inflexible bones of an Earther at an accelerated rate. This form is within 'normal' parameters for the humanoids of the
Lor Republic, and her mother appeared similar, but with dark blue-green skin, webs between her fingers and dark yellow crests of 'hair.' (Despite her appearance, neither are aquatic in nature.)

In her ‘warform,’ her ridges of hair stiffen into spiny crests, and her fingers are coated with a hard-shell-like coating of ‘hair’ that turns them into claw-like rending instruments, while her body is similarly covered with overlapping plates of white bone-like material (again, fashioned of horn-like tissues, not actual bones). She generates great quantities of biomass during this process, and the exact mechanism behind this remains a mystery (with most Grue ‘drones’ being unable to replicate this feat, suggesting that she taps into her psionic Lor potential to augment her Grue shapeshifting talents).

Her escape craft did not survive entry into Earth’s atmosphere, and she was forced to descend to the ground under her own power, badly injured and barely conscious. For a time, she suffered from a combination of injury-induced amnesia and an unexpected allergic reaction to the chemistry of Earth’s atmosphere, wandering about in an animalistic state in her ‘warform,’ consuming livestock and foliage in quantities in an instinctive attempt to absorb the nutrients her body required to repair itself. Her first encounters with humans led to her fleeing the scene (a hunter with a gun scared her off), and in a later encounter her sentience rushed back, causing her to revert to her hybrid form and recall her true nature, and her ‘mission’ here on Earth. Searching out the wreck of her ship, she was able to scrounge up a serviceable weapon (actually the equivalent of a flare gun, among her people, but with statistics that Earth technology would equate with a Blaster Pistol), and salvage together materials necessary to repair her damaged utility suit (which doubled as armor and contained various useful tools for exploring in uncertain terrain). She then set out to find this ‘
Freedom City,’ hitchhiking to find the lay of the land from her escape capsules crash-landing in the New Jersey pine barrens.

She has reached the city, and is living on the streets right now, using her talents almost at random, in an assortment of guises. She is volunteering at a free clinic / homeless shelter, where she uses her weak talent for Healing to help those she can, while trying to work up the courage to seek out her purported father, after having used her suits internal computer to link up with the Earther ‘internet’ and confirm that no record of her mother’s existence can be found...
