The name of Violant de Lorca is unknown to the locals of the Pit, where she works as a bodyguard and hired muscle.  She arrived at an airlock and pounded on the door until someone let her in (having apparently fallen from the sky).  The Sec who cycled her in (mainly because he thought she might be an Aberrant and wanted to get her away from the outer hull and airlocks before shooting her) saw her not at all, only the bulky musculature of her BioVARG, a long coat, high boots, loose Reinforced Clothing and a broad-brimmed hat.  If anything she looked like an old style PI and only an obvious mask was visible and some sort of flight harness.  It was clear even to the guards that let her in that this 'man' was in some sort of 'skintight vacuum protection' and they scanned 'him' carefully for weapons before taking Violant (who goes by the name of Victor in this form) before a representative of the President.  (The President herself, not being insanely stupid, did not personally meet with this mysterious armed and armored person.)

Victor now works as a freelance bodyguard, famed not so much for her skill at protecting people as her skill at avenging her charge via mass slaughter.  Anyone dealing with a person under Victors charge knows that the mark might die, but he won't die alone...

Five years before, things were very different.  Violant was a child in Lisbon involved in finding secure places for and supervising all sorts of illegal and covert transactions for her gang / family.  She was one of few survivors when one such deals went sour, a corporate hit team killing her brother and several other mobsters, the two defectors from their own company and grievously wounding the Norça she was setting up to buy the Chameleon plans that the two defectors were peddling.  She had cunningly made and kept her own copy of the holo-interactive schematics as insurance and pushed the wounded Norça out a doorway and lobbed a fusion grenade at the coming troops to delay them, hoping to at least finish the deal herself.  But the Biokinetic had lost a lot of blood and handed her a credit chip with ¥100K, told her to sneak to his ship and set course for Australia, the LAST place TechnoDyne would expect fleeing Norça to go to get away from them...  There she would be smuggled by the contact he gave her to a Norça base in Antarctica.

Having nothing left in Lisbon and this much money in hand, she was tempted to set course for Bali and never be seen again, but the idea of crossing the Norça and living in fear of shapeshifting assassins for the rest of her life didn't appeal to her!  So she took the ship, the money and the plans to the contact, unaware that the Biokinetic who had given

her this 'dying request' was fine and had recognized her Latency when they had touched briefly.  He created this plan off of the top of his head to get her to his compatriots (and the BioVARG plans) while he had ‘business’ to attend to in Lisbon yet.  ‘Business’ involving a dozen partying victorious TechnoDyne operatives who needed to learn a final lesson about double-crossing the Norca...

She became a Norça in short order, having arrived in near-shock from the loss of the only family, the only LIFE she had ever known.  She was easy to welcome into a new family, comfortingly like the one she had lost in the hit.  It was during the long flights that she actually tried out the interactive holosims that came with the schemata to advertise the features of the BioVARG and fell in love with this new body, taller, stronger, tougher and capable of blending in with its surroundings.  She was small and petite, wiry and perpetually undernourished wild thing on the streets of Lisbon, but in this form she could command respect and not scorn or dissmissal.  She petitioned the Pai to create this armor reasoning that he couldn't well verify what he had purchased without at least making a sample product.  And who better to test it out?

He found her amusing and granted her request (making more than one 'sample').  She personally oversaw the theft of the Gyrfalcon Flightpack which she wears, the Ionic Whip of the Hassha-Seiun was salvaged from a destroyed FSA VARG (although most of the coil was useless and had to be removed) and the stolen plans themselves already included the electrophorensic muscle cells necessary to generate a Lightning Field like that of the Ozawa / Ashikaga Hellfire. She managed to weasel Armor Sculpt and an Improved Handling system out of the designers, nagging them all throughout the process of the design and 'manufacture' of 'her' suit, to the point of sleeping by the chamber in which the Bioapp gestated and talking to it while it developed!  Still, her obsession paid off and she has a truly exceptional piece of bioware, which the Pai pointed out was HIS, and she was only using it.  She nodded and took whatever mission he assigned, something about Luna and the Pit which she only half heard as she flexed the muscles of her new body, secure in the knowledge that SHE would never be running for her life again...
